Un recorrido por los principales campings de San Fabián de Alico realizó la seremi de Salud, Marta Bravo, junto al alcalde Claudio Almuna, con el objetivo de reforzar el llamado a prevenir el Hantavirus. Ello, en el marco de la campaña impulsada por el Ministerio de Salud: “Por un Verano más Sano”.
“Aún quedan algunos días de temporada estival, por lo que no hay que aflojar las acciones tendientes a prevenir los contagios en campings, tales como usar carpas con piso, cierre, sin agujeros; caminar solo por senderos habilitados y mantener la basura en recipientes cerrados o enterrarla”, recordó Bravo, agregando que en esa precordillerana comuna existen 10 campings autorizados por la SEREMI de Salud: “Las Luciérnagas”, “Bullileo”, “Juntas de Lara”, “Alico”, “Jahuel”, “Nuevo Amanecer”, “Los Yugos”, “Don Matías”, “Las Vertientes” y “Don Ignacio”.
Almuna enfatizó que es importante reiterar las medidas adoptar en estos recintos, o en zonas rurales. “El roedor silvestre que transmite el virus no puede tener fácil acceso a utensilios u ollas, y también es importante mantener el exterior de las casas y bodegas, libres de maleza y basura, además de ventilar por media hora, los lugares cerrados por largo tiempo”.
En lo que va del año, en Ñuble se han registrado dos casos confirmados, con una víctima fatal, mientras que en 2017 se registraron cuatro casos, sin fallecidos.
